This project is by far my favourite!

This has by far been my favourite project this year!
Following the Joanna Yeates murder trial (Oct 11) I created a visual timeline of events. I used imagery collected myself from newspapers and the internet.  The project title was "Error". I used Screen printing to print my images onto material, a technique that produces beautiful natural errors. Reading the Joanna Yeates murder trial in various newspapers I found that the story was twisted and different in each paper. Readers want something they can trust and rely on, these natural errors are an element of authenticity.

Authenticity creates trust.

Graze

This morning my housemate had a Graze nibble box delivered. Its a box of healthy snacks including nuts, cheese, crackers, flapjacks, dried fruits etc. I fell in love with the packaging. Even though the whole concept is eco-friendly with its recyclable packaging Graze have made it witty and attractive.

Friends with Benefits (End Credits)

I love the playful interactivity with the end credits of this film! I usually hate end credits and turn off as soon as I see them! But this certainly had my attention!

I worked in Tenerife last may with the AWF, whilst there I was working on some design work for the organisation. Along with Dan (student from Coventry University) we designed the AWF Induction Pack for Tenerife. The Induction pack is now finally online on the AWF website for interested potential volunteers to download!

The AWF Volunteers Induction pack for Tenerife is now available to download from http://www.whalenation.org/whalesanddolphinsproject.html

"Lying in bed would be an altogether perfect experience if only one had a pencil long enough to draw on the ceiling"
A quote taken from Coventry University's degree shows invitations.

If only I had found this 6 months ago!

I found this work whilst having a nice blogging session. I think this is a really nice typographic technique, thinking back it would have been perfect for my radio 3 project! With a brief asking to appeal to the elitist audience for the radio station this delicate, detailed, skilled concept would have been perfect.

This would have been a perfect find 6 months ago!! A tad bit late now though!

A 5 minute wonder?

So, I'm totally new to all of this but I thought I would give it a try! I'm not usually good at this kind of thing as they are usually 5 minute wonders but my cluttered desktop and reading list are becoming too much to bare! Full up with inspiring websites, captions and other cool design pieces and techniques I keep discovering!

Now Im finishing university I am beginning to find myself as a designer, I'm starting to discover what I truly have a passion for and what stands out for me.
